Situations Should Shape The Strategy

two paths; one goes in circles and misses the goal, the other takes new turns and gets to the goal

There have been plenty of times where I have tried to solve new problems or accomplish new goals with the same approaches I've always used.

The result?

I missed the target… again and again.

Progress often came from changing my approach, not just increasing my effort.

Sometime increasing my effort got me to the destination.

Other times, it just made me run in circles faster.

At some point, I had to ask myself, is this an effort issue or do I need a different approach?

Changing my approaches has allowed me reach new destinations, especially when I'm feeling stuck.

Not every new approach always works, but it always gets me further or shows me what not to do.

One of the biggest mistakes I have consistently made and generally see others make in work and life is using the same strategy for every situation.

What worked before won’t always work next.

Great strategists don’t just work harder, they constantly evaluate conditions and adapt their approaches to fit the situations.

Which one of your goals may require a different playbook?
